
New Zealander Alice Leonard switched from being an omnivore with an uneasy conscience to being a joyful vegan within six weeks of meeting her Florida-born husband Billy (who's been vegan for more than 30 years).
That was almost five years ago, and today Alice runs Angel Food, a vegan food business which imports soy cheeses and soy cream for sale through organic stores in New Zealand. Alice has also developed recipes for vegan marshmallows and meringues, and sells these as powdered mixes through specialty vegan retailers around the world.
